One main human activity that has an impact on mountain lions are poachers(illegal hunting) who kill animals for their fur and also their habitat is getting destroyed which result in them fighting and killing each other for their territory. This results in them being endangered, The main reason why they're endangered would be because they kill one another for habitat. If cougars go completely extinct there would be an increase in population of deers because they have one less prey. Also forest areas may decrease due to the fact that there's no cougars which increases the possibility of more urbanization. If this takes place it would affect all organisms in that environment due to lack of habitat. This organism should be funded because in result of more cougars being killed their food chain would be affected. Their food chain would be affected because since cougars eat deer their would be an increases in deers. If there's an increases in deers, there would be a lack of vegetation which would result in the death of many insects and smaller animals. This would affect humans because if the insects moved in farmlands it would have an impact on our food sources. This can affect human population. We would ask organizations for funds such as International Anti-poaching Foundation. An estimated cost for this research would be approximately $10,000.
